Wider Neck For Supreme Comfort
For 2015 Gibson have given their guitar necks a major overhaul, and the results are stunning. Each guitar neck and fingerboard has been widened by .050” – the result is a more comfortable feeling neck that is a joy to play. Gibson have also introduced one piece, thicker fingerboards that have been smooth sanded, buffed and treated with oil, giving you the best feeling Gibson neck ever.
27 Percent Lower Fret Wire
Gibson have utilised the German manufactured PLEK machine for many years now – these incredible machines can scan a guitar and apply a perfect, accurate fret dress and action to the guitar. The result is that each Gibson guitar comes out of the box ready to play without any adjustments required. For 2015, Gibson have fine-tuned the PLEK set up, resulting in one of the best feeling electric guitars ever made, with 27 percent lower fret wire across the fingerboard.
Les Paul’s 100th Birthday
To mark the 100th birthday of the man who started it all, Les Paul, each 2015 Gibson USA guitar will feature a new signature on the headstock. The ‘Les Paul 100’ signature is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest players who ever lived. Each Gibson guitar in 2015 will also feature a high gloss lacquer finish for the ultimate in visual appeal, whilst each fingerboard will feature genuine Pearl inlays.
